There may be money coming your way! ACT NOW and tell your legislators what to do!

The new federal budget signed last week includes a remarkable $700 million for the Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grant—an increase that nearly triples this Grant from last year. The increase is enough money to hire 10,000 new school counselors, a request that was made by the School Ambassador Fellows this winter. Some states may decide to partner with other groups also hoping to use this money, either for school counseling positions (like your state or regional ASCA affiliate, or your state college access network) or for other positions. Whatever you decide to do, now is the time to organize, since many legislatures are on spring break, and will have a short meeting period before breaking for the summer.
