Proposed Membership Dues Change

Beginning July 1, 2021, annual membership dues for those that qualify for the “Not-for-profit community-based organization (CBO)” membership type, shall be free.

WATCH the Special Election Forum (recorded Monday, June 7, 2021)

On May 14th the WACAC Executive Board voted to approve the proposal from the CBO Ad Hoc Committee, to offer free membership to community-based organizations (CBOs). As per our bylaws, this change to membership dues must be approved by a vote of the membership. The WACAC Executive Board is conducting a special election, conducted by electronic ballot from June 1st to June 14th, 2021.

Electronic ballots were mailed to all WACAC members in good standing on Monday, June 1st. Election results will be sent via email to all members by June 18th. If approved, the change shall take effect for the 2021-2022 membership cycle.

TIMELINE FOR SPECIAL ELECTION:

May 14th: Executive Board votes to approve CBO proposal
May 20th: Membership notified of Special Election at Membership Meeting
June 1st: Special Election ballot sent to members
June 7th: Free CBO Membership Forum
June 14th: Voting Closes
June 18th: Voting results announced via email
