Position Description:
Recruitment Management (45%)
Provide information about the University’s academic opportunities to prospective students, families, counselors, advisors, and other stakeholders through presentations, emails, calls, and one-on-one conversation.
Plan, develop, and implement on and off campus recruitment travel and activities primarily in assigned geographic regions.
Meet with prospective students through various channels, including high school visits, campus interviews, information sessions, and workshops.
Act as a connection point between students and other campus stakeholders (i.e. faculty, financial aid, registrar, etc.) to meet undergraduate enrollment goals..
Engage in efforts to make higher education more accessible, equitable, and inclusive; participate in working groups to embed these efforts in job responsibilities.
Approximately 10 to 12 weeks of in state and out of state travel.
Application Review and Recommendations (25%)
Review, evaluate, and provide initial undergraduate admission recommendations based on university criteria and artistic standards (where necessary)
Assist students in submitting materials to complete their applications and advise through questions about best-fit majors, changing majors, and updating start terms.
Event Attendance (15%)
Support and actively participate in programs and events engaging prospective First Year, Transfer, Post Baccalaureate, and Pre College students, their families, community organizations, college counselors, and advisors.
Attend major admission events such as preview days and admitted student days.
Evening and weekend work required, especially in fall and spring.
Other Duties (15%)
Manage and work on assigned project areas throughout the year.
