The Summer Admission Institute is on a pause for 2026, with the next institute taking place in 2027.
This shift comes at a time when hiring is down, and professional development in our members’ institutions has felt that toll. While we hope this difficult moment for the profession is temporary, we are taking the time to thoughtfully adapt and bolster the program to support new professionals – as well as those in their first and second admission cycles – with a more robust experience. We will continue to account for training needs and evaluate the program to ensure we meet the moment. We welcome your feedback as we shape the future of SAI. Please share your ideas with us at wacacpd@wacac.org.
Thank you for your continued support during this transition.

We have assembled an SAI committee that will meet approximately once a month. The committee is currently reviewing member feedback, evaluating the evolving training needs of new professionals and exploring options for rethinking the SAI schedule and format.
Next Steps for SAI:

Interested in becoming an SAI faculty member? Complete the interest form to let us know you’re interested!
We’re beginning to plan the reimagined SAI program and are looking for faculty who are excited to help shape the experience, develop curriculum and presentations and contribute to the program in other meaningful ways.
Host the WACAC Summer Admission Institute
WACAC is seeking a host campus for the 2027 Summer Admission Institute as we launch our reimagined program.
We welcome interest from both college and high school campuses across California. If your campus is interested in hosting SAI and being part of this next chapter, we’d love to hear from you.
