Reporting to and in consultation with the Director of Enrollment Strategies and Operations, the Associate Director is expected to fully engage in a broad range of Office of Admission activities, including but not limited to the responsibilities described below.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as an integral member of the Admission team that is responsible for recruiting and enrolling students who fulfill the College’s mission.
- Support the mission of the Office of Admission in growing the diversity within the applicant pool and enrolling class. Work collaboratively with the office’s leadership team to create complementary communication plans and event programming to help meet this objective.
- Assist as a Slate vice-captain and administrator with a focus on Deliver, Reports, Portals and Configurable Joins. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and SQL is a plus.
- Teach and empower colleagues of varying skill levels to use different aspects of Slate.
- Lead the Office of Admission’s communications team. Plan and execute strategies, create communication flows and templates for varying audiences, programs or channels, and evaluate metrics of our different efforts.
- Liaison to the College’s Office of Communications and Marketing. Manage the creation, editing, and track the progress of projects (print and digital), assure fulfillment in a timely manner, and oversee cost and inventory. Collaborate with the College’s website manager to ensure that the Office of Admission site is current and compliant. This may include editing and restructuring of the site. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Content Management Systems is a plus.
- Learn the College’s mission and ethos. Keep current with the College’s academic programs, support services, and co-curricular offerings.
- Represent the college and build relationships with prospective students, their families, high school counselors, and community members. This includes interviewing prospective students and some off-campus recruitment travel.
- Evaluate applications for admission in a timely manner and participate fully in the committee based selection process of candidates for admission.
- Participate in and assist with the planning and implementation of recruitment and yield activities as well as special programs.
- Practice discretion and maintain confidentiality of records, correspondence, and information, regardless of the format.
- Maintain focus on several activities and priorities. Anticipate seasonal variations in the workload.
