Admissions Specialist (Operations/Processing) – Hybrid Position

The Admission Specialist position is designed to assist qualified applicants to complete and strengthen their application file and encourage enrollment. This position supports all Graziadio Business School Program applicants, admission committee members, and enrollment service offices. This position enables the admission staff to maintain operational excellence, contribute to effective enrollment management, and strive to achieve customer satisfaction with admission-related services.
Duties
- Management of all applications.
- Evaluate submitted documents to ensure the applicant meets all admission requirements for rendering a decision: Add/update submitted transcripts, test scores, degree audit report (DAR), and other admission documentation to PeopleSoft, the student information system and Etrieve, the document imaging system.
- Provide counseling regarding admission requirements to applicants, enrollment partners and stakeholders.
- Monitor applicant activity throughout the funnel to increase completion and yield conversions.
- Facilitate ongoing outreach and communications to applicants for file completion and enrollment.
- Maintain consistent communication with the admission program committees for application review.
- Work closely and collaboratively with enrollment partners (Recruitment, Program Office, Student Financial Services, OISS, Registrar, etc.) to ensure seamless enrollment of new students.
- Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of process enhancements and projects, as well as admission-related policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in school and institution-wide committees and events.
- Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 2 years in admission, recruitment, or student services.
- Must be detail-oriented and result-driven with strong organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
- Must be customer service oriented and a team-player.
- Strong ability to plan and prioritize.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, familiarity with imaging systems.
- Must be able to quickly assimilate new software, commercial databases, portal, and websites.
Preferred
- Master’s degree.
- 3+ years work experience in higher education admission, recruitment, administration, and student systems.
- Proven track-record showing ability to work under pressure in education administration or recruitment environment.
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft, Google Suite, and SalesForce.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position that may be eligible for remote or hybrid work in accordance with the University Policy Manual.
Expected Pay Range: $25.96 -$28.84 per hour
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level. In addition to base pay, Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitive benefits package.
