To perform duties designed to identify and recruit prospective students to the Weekend, Evening and Online programs. The Admission Counselor plans and participates in the implementation of marketing strategies and outreach/recruitment activities designed to encourage prospective student interest. Guides applicants through the admission and financial aid process, assisting the students through the enrollment process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engages prospective students via phone, email, and text on a continual basis to build relationships between the student and the University. Maintain active correspondence with prospective student until the student is enrolled or no longer interested in applying.
Plans, manages and leads Information Sessions both in person and online for prospective students.
Visits local community college transfer centers to meet with prospective students and Transfer Center Directors to inform them of the University programs.
Assists applicants through each step of the admission process as well as the enrollment process.
Conducts external recruitment and outreach events at local businesses and community events.
Responsible for meeting application and enrollment goals.
