Letters of recommendation remain one of the few opportunities for counselors to provide context beyond a student’s transcript and activities list. This session will explore what makes a recommendation letter compelling, how admission officers read and evaluate letters, and strategies for highlighting a student’s character, growth, and contributions through authentic storytelling. Participants will leave with practical frameworks, examples of effective language, and time-saving strategies for writing meaningful letters, even during the busiest application season.
