The Government Relations team was on it again earlier this month, but this time it was in D.C. Several members of WACAC, including our president, Jeff Morrow, were in the nation’s capital, talking to House Representatives and Senators about issues in secondary and higher education, focusing on the need for counseling in high schools, community colleges, and as support for four-year colleges. The event was held by NACAC and consisted of members from many of the affiliate ACAC groups, and started with some training on dual enrollment, the state of counseling, and talk of some bills making their way through Congress. While we were doing those nerdy things, we also enjoyed seeing all the Capitol buildings and even paid a late-night visit to Abraham Lincoln!
