Serving Undocumented Students

Approximately 1.1 million undocumented children under the age of 18 are currently living in the United States, 65,000 of whom will graduate from high school each year (source: Immigrants Rising, https://immigrantsrising.org/). Access to higher education is an issue that continues to plague students, families and college counselors. WACAC is committed to providing resources for our membership to navigate the process to serve undocumented students. The following links include college counseling resources, avenues to funding higher education, general information about Dreamers and DACA, and ways for individual members to advocate for undocumented students and a clean Dream Act. If you have questions about or suggestions for this page, please contact the Diversity, Equity and Access Committee at wacacdea@wacac.org.
