WACAC Nation,

As Terri and I rang in 2015 on New Year’s Eve, we said “Wow!  This is the year of the NACAC Conference!”

It is a steady run from here to October 1-3, 2015 and the SD National Conference.  Of course there are still applications to be read, financial aid to package, final decisions to be made, and junior meetings to tend to before this happens.  Oh, and of course a beautiful CA summer.  And then it is game on for NACAC and California!

The buzz is building.  A ton of great session proposals were received, the block party social in the San Diego Gaslamp District has been arranged (and fully tested by the committee) and registration is a few weeks away from opening.

As WACAC launches into its busy season, please keep an eye on the horizon and the build up toward the national event which could bring more than 7,000 attendees to the Golden State.  We have work to do this Spring – 4 Share Learn Connect events, a SUPER ACAC II Conference in Reno, and WACAC and NACAC fairs.  These are all great times to spread the word the about the national conference.

We could even sense the buzz in Sacramento at another awesome WACAC Government Relations Conference.  We made legislators aware of the opportunity to shine a light on the students of California as we made the case for equity and access to our elected officials.

Please continue to support the San Diego committee chairs and volunteer a few hours of your time to make the conference a success.  If you have already registered to volunteer, you will receive an email from NACAC in the late spring to select your volunteer time slot.

Stay tuned, as we ride the wave to the San Diego 2015 Conference.  Follow this blog and the Facebook Conference page.
