Is This Job for Me?
In alignment with the Student Affairs mission and direction; as well as the mission of the CARE Program, the Program Director assumes responsibility for the direction of the program; and establishes and prioritizes short and long range goals and measureable outcomes for program implementation, growth, and assessment. Furthermore, the Program Director assumes responsibility for the day to day planning, management, and coordination of CARE Programs and Services.  Specifically, the incumbent develops and oversees trauma-informed and culturally relevant advocacy services and alternative healing programs. In addition, the director oversees the development and implementation of educational programs, workshops and presentations designed to target an increasingly diversified student population. The Program Director is knowledgeable about federal, state and campus policies and procedures, and provides consultative services regarding response to and prevention of sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking across campus. The CARE Program Director serves as a clinically trained advocate, prevention educator, resource coordinator and University spokesperson for campus-wide gender violence issues related to students, staff, faculty and the UCLA community.
