Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Enrollment and Associate Director of Enrollment, Undergraduate Enrollment Counselors play a vital role as Enrollment team members, actively involved in recruiting and enrolling students through visiting high schools, events, and community organizations for information sessions, attending college fairs and workshops, and coordinating or participating in additional programming as needed. This is a full-time, exempt position with hybrid eligibility of up to two remote days per month.
Primary Responsibilities
Advise prospective applicants regarding application processing and eligibility requirements.
Obtain all required documents for application review in a timely manner.
Assure accurate and detailed evaluation of regular and transfer applications for admission, including checking thoroughly for completeness of file; completion of all prerequisite courses; and grade point average calculations.
Actively recruit, engage, and enroll students into SFBU’s undergraduate programs.
Oversee designated regions with responsibilities that include both local and out-of-state travel.
Coordinate and implement outreach and yield activities, both virtually and in person.
Gather, analyze, and report data on assigned regions/populations to identify trends and provide regular updates on the admissions funnel and recruitment/yield activities.
Participates in admissions events that accommodate and prioritize our prospective student and family schedules and availability.
Demonstrates a thorough understanding and alignment with the university’s mission, vision, and values.
Stays current on the university’s academic programs, support services, and co-
curricular offerings.
Provides exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries/requests, providing clear and accurate information, and maintaining positive relationships.
Collaborates with faculty, staff, alumni, students, high school and community college
teachers and counselors to coordinate recruitment efforts.
Counsels and guides applicants through admission policies and procedures.
Offers solutions to applicant inquiries and concerns regarding admission.
Evaluate applications for admission and follow up with applicants.
Assists in the creation of promotional materials for admissions programs and activities.
Maintains strict confidentiality of records, correspondence, and sensitive information.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
3-4 years of direct admissions experience; related experience; or equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education;
Must be able to travel in-state and out-of-state. Will be required to work evenings and weekends as well as extended hours during peak periods.

Salary Range: $71,000 -$81,000 per year, DOE.
