The Manager for Native American and Diversity Recruitment is responsible for representing Northern Arizona University to multiple constituencies, including prospective students, their families, and school/community contacts. The position, in conjunction with the Assistant Director for Diversity Recruitment, oversees the continued development and implementation of Native American and Indigenous student recruitment; maintains and further develops strong relationships with Arizona’s 22 federally recognized tribes, Bureau of Indian Education, BIE, schools in Arizona, and other native communities throughout the Western United States. The Manager leads a team of one Student Recruitment Coordinator, Sr. for Diversity Recruitment, focused on serving Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Alaska Native first year and transfer students, in line with the university’s goal to become the nation’s leading university serving Native Americans. The position is instrumental in connecting the NAU campus community with University Admissions for the purpose of carrying out initiatives related to Native American and Diversity recruitment and retention.
