F&M seeks a dynamic, creative, and innovative Dean of Admission who will report to Jimmie Foster, Vice President for Enrollment Management beginning his tenure at F&M on June 1. The successful candidate will be a crucial member of the division’s senior team, leading the College’s efforts to bring new generations of intellectually gifted, exceptionally talented, and diverse students to the College, sustaining and improving upon successes the college has achieved in areas of selectivity, quality, and diversity of the institution’s student body.
As a member of the Vice President’s senior leadership team, the Dean will work jointly with the Director of Financial Aid in spearheading collaborative partnerships within the enrollment division so that teams serving prospective and continuing students work closely and effectively together. The Dean will energetically lead and guide a team of twelve full-time and five part-time counseling staff and seven operations staff, blending their talents to annually recruit, select, and enroll a class of first year and transfer students who represent the bold future of F&M.
The Dean of Admission will contribute heavily to imagining, developing, implementing and executing a well-organized strategic plan for a national and international recruitment effort. This plan will mirror the greater goals of F&M and will join other areas of the College where the intersections of enrollment, student learning and experience contribute to the strength and inclusive excellence of F&M and the four-year life cycle of the student. The Dean should bring a strong network of relationships that will benefit F&M.
