Major Responsibilities

Provide leadership, management and support for the Admission Office
o Develop a competent, productive, and effective staff by hiring, supervising (directly or through delegation) 20 staff in the Admission Office.

o Foster an office environment that empowers staff to provide exceptional service to students, provide solutions, and innovate for equity, efficiency, and student-centered practices.

o Facilitate a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.

o Effectively utilize college resources in accomplishing goals by planning, developing, and managing the departmental budget.

Meet the college’s enrollment goals by creating and implementing a comprehensive recruitment plan, including:
o Develop a communication and marketing plan to ensure consistent, prompt, and personalized outreach to students and families throughout the funnel; develop marketing strategies to increase brand awareness using multiple platforms, emerging technologies, digital marketing, and the effective use of CRM technologies while maintaining a close partnership with the Marketing and Communications Department.

o Develop data-driven recruitment strategies by effectively utilizing data from a variety of sources to evaluate student characteristics and trends, with sensitivity to the College’s market position and competition.

o Manage and assess a full array of recruitment and yield events, on and off campus, to ensure outreach and successful enrollment of a diverse student body. Serve as the lead spokesperson at admission events.

o Develop and coordinate smart, creative, effective, and efficient travel strategies, to stabilize existing markets and grow in new markets.

  • Ensure the efficient processing of admission applications by developing and administering policies, procedures, and systems that provide quality admission services for prospective students.
  • Assist the Dean of Enrollment Management in developing, evaluating, interpreting, and enforcing admissions policies, tuition classification, and Native American Tuition Waiver procedures and strategies; serve as an authoritative source of such information.
  • Make and approve decisions which may establish or alter policies, procedures or operations.
    Collaborate with the Dean of Enrollment Management on the coordination of recruitment and enrollment initiatives across academic and administrative units across campus, including the Honors Program, Athletics, the Diversity Collaborative, Academic Affairs, Skyhawk Station, International Programs, and others to achieve enrollment goals.
  • Work with the Dean of Enrollment Management, President, Provost, and other campus leadership to develop an enrollment plan and the strategies and tactics necessary to execute on that plan.
  • Perform other duties as required, as assigned by the Dean of Enrollment Management.
