The premier college admissions consulting company in the Los Angeles area is looking for an experienced candidate with a background in and passion for college admissions and a gift for working with students and families.

Colledge LLC offers team-based admissions counseling aimed at helping students and families find the best right-fit colleges for them. We provide guidance on all aspects of the college admissions process, including the college list, extracurricular activities, essay work, test recommendations, college interviews, visiting colleges, and financial aid and scholarships.  The company was founded by Jenny Umhofer, who spent a decade in different highly selective college admissions offices.

We’re looking for a college admissions advisor to work directly with and under the guidance of their Colledge team manager.  We offer detailed, compensated consultant training, a flexible schedule, and generous per-hour compensation. Consulting sessions take place on weeknights and weekends, and hours during busy season will average 5-15 hours per week.

An ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of either college admissions experience at a 4-year non-profit college or university or at least 3 years in college counseling experience at a secondary school and a bachelor’s degree. Clear communication, the ability to listen well and strong organizational and essay editing skills are a must. Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, and Powerpoint skills are essential, as is a familiarity with Naviance.

Location: Los Angeles area preferred. We are virtual, so working from home is the norm.
