The premier college admissions consulting business in the Pasadena area needs an entrepreneurial, creative candidate with experience in college admissions to help lead our growing practice.
Colledge LLC offers individualized, one-on-one counseling aimed at helping students and families find the best-fit colleges for them. We provide guidance on all aspects of the college admissions process, including guidance with the personal statement, test recommendations, the college list, extracurricular activities, college interviews, visiting colleges, and financial aid and scholarships.
Our Director of Client Services will play a critical role in serving students and families by leveraging her or his experience in a selective college-level admissions office, demonstrated interest in teen psychology and parent education, and have a collaborative, team-oriented orientation, by focusing on the following areas of critical need:
• Client Service: The Director of Client Services will work extensively with students and parents, advising, supporting, and yes, hand-holding. This role demands emotional intelligence, effective communications with both teens and parents, and a willingness to lean into the challenge of helping all kinds of students from all types of backgrounds with all manner of interests—artists, mathematicians, scientists, gamers, procrastinators, coders, introverts, athletes, and students with learning differences.
• Marketing and Administration: As a small business, Colledge depends on getting the word out, bringing clients in, and running things efficiently. The Director of Client Services will assist in operating the business—tech savvy, design expertise, public speaking, statistical data analysis, and office skills are all highly valued in this role.
• Teamwork: What sets Colledge apart is its team approach to college admissions advice—each student has multiple Colledge professionals learning students’ passions, developing college lists, and reviewing applications and essays. This unique approach requires humility, collaboration, and an openness to working closely and positively with others.
Salary range: Commensurate with experience.
Anticipated schedule: Weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.— nights and weekends are required in lieu of weekday hours.
Benefits: Will contribute monthly amount to individual health insurance obtained by employee.
Bonus: Discretionary bonus paid at the end of the year.
Commitment: Looking for someone willing to commit to at least two years.
