The Admission Counselor for Transfer Initiatives supports the Director of Transfer Admission in the outreach, recruitment, admission as well as yield activities in support of the university’s commitment to a diverse transfer population. The transfer cycle at Chapman is year round as Chapman brings in two entering transfer classes, one in the fall semester and the other during the spring semester. Primary recruitment travel would be in the areas of Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego community colleges however there may be some travel outside of those regions. This role would involve college fair attendance, one on one transfer advisement meetings, monthly on campus information sessions as well as the review of admission and scholarship decisions. Liaison work with other key university offices in meeting transfer enrollment goals will be on going.

This position may be filled at either the Admission Counselor or Assistant Director level depending on the qualifications of the final candidate. Demonstrated project management experience and experience with transfer file review is required for the Assistant Director level.
