DESCRIPTION:If you’re interested in legislative action promoting equity a
 nd access within education and want to advocate to legislators in-person\,
  this event is for you!\n\nRegistration Opens Mid-December\nDate: March 8 
 - 9\nRegistration Deadline: Wednesday\, Feb. 17\nYou must be a current WAC
 AC member to participate.\n\nBook your hotel room at the Embassy Suites wi
 th our special link once registration opens. \nPlease note: Attendees are
  responsible for booking their own room by Wednesday\, Feb. 17. Rooms will
  not be guaranteed after this date.\n\nOn March 8\, we’ll provide you wi
 th everything you need to know for advocating to lawmakers\, starting with
  a California 101 legislative briefing to help you understand the process\
 , timelines\, budget\, bills\, and issues facing education in the state.\n
 \nOnce you’ve been briefed\, it’s time to act! On March 9\, you’ll g
 et the chance to meet in-person with California legislators or their staff
 . You'll have an opportunity to share your lived experiences helping stude
 nts navigate high school completion\, college access\, the transition to h
 igher education\, and daily job duties.\n\nReview the agenda from 2026.\nR
 eimbursements\n\n\n 	WACAC will reimburse attendees for half the cost of a
  single-occupancy\, one-night stay or the full cost of a double-occupancy 
 (with another GRAC attendee)\, one-night stay at Embassy Suites for the co
 nference.\n\n 	Attendees are responsible for their own transportation cost
 s to and from the conference.\n 	WACAC will pay for parking on March 8 and
