DESCRIPTION:If you’re interested in legislative action promoting equity a
 nd access within education and want to advocate to legislators in-person\,

 n Deadline: Monday\, Feb. 23\nYou must be a current WACAC member to partic
 ipate.\n\nBook your hotel room at the Embassy Suites with our special link
 !\nPlease note: Attendees are responsible for booking their own room by Mo
 nday\, Feb. 23. Rooms will not be guaranteed after this date.\n\nOn March 
 16\, we’ll provide you with everything you need to know for advocating t
 o lawmakers\, starting with a California 101 legislative briefing to help 
 you understand the process\, timelines\, budget\, bills\, and issues facin
 g education in the state.\n\nOnce you’ve been briefed\, it’s time to a
 ct! On March 17\, you’ll get the chance to meet in-person with Californi
 a legislators or their staff. You'll have an opportunity to share your liv
 ed experiences helping students navigate high school completion\, college 
 access\, the transition to higher education\, and daily job duties.\n\nRev
 iew the tentative agenda.\nReimbursements\n\n\n 	WACAC will reimburse atte
 ndees for half the cost of a single-occupancy\, one-night stay ($229/night
  plus taxes\, etc.) or the full cost of a double-occupancy (with another G
 RAC attendee)\, one-night stay at Embassy Suites for the conference.\n\n 	
 If rooms are no longer available in the Embassy Suites block\, WACAC will 
 reimburse up to $120/night plus taxes (half the cost of our Embassy Suites
  rate) as well as parking at the hotel of your choice.\n 	Attendees are re
 sponsible for their own transportation costs to and from the conference.\n
  	WACAC will pay for parking on March 16 and 17 ($45/night).\n\nPlease ema
