We are delighted to bring you the 1st Annual WACAC Legislative Conference in Nevada!
This inaugural Legislative Conference in Nevada will bring together members of WACAC and NVSCA to present the Legislative Platform to members of the Nevada Legislature. Members will learn legislative advocacy strategies, meet with Nevada State Legislators, and network with colleagues regarding critical legislative issues in the State.
Conference Schedule:
8:30 a.m. Welcome/Continental Breakfast
8:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Legislative AdvocacyTraining
11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Lunch
12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. Travel to Carson City, NV State Legislature
1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Meet with Legislators – Capitol Appointments
2:45 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Travel to Reno, Airport Plaza Hotel
3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Legislative Debriefing & Discussion
Legislative Appointments
Please designate your home and work legislative representatives when you register. Visit http://mapserve.leg.state.nv.us/website/lcb/viewer.htm to identify your legislators. If you are unable to enter the information at the time of registration, please be sure to email , GRAC Co-Chair.
Business attire is appropriate for meeting with legislators.
WACAC Legislative Priorities:

Registration Cost:
Free for WACAC members, $30 for non-members

$67.00 room rate (mention WACAC)
You must call the hotel directly at (800) 648-3525 to make your reservations.
WACAC will reimburse one night’s lodging for a shared double room with another WACAC Member. You must pay for the lodging and request reimbursement from WACAC. We will explain reimbursement procedures at the conference. If you prefer a single room, WACAC will cover ½ the cost of the room expense.
Conference Meals:
Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Reno/Tahoe International Airport

To get to the Hotel:
From Interstate 80, take the Plumb Lane/Villanova exit. Turn left at the first light and go under the freeway. Go straight through second light. Airport Plaza Hotel is on the right. (Participants may walk from the Airport, as the hotel is directly across the street.)
