Elections
The WACAC Executive Board is looking for members who have been active in our organization to run for office. Elections for WACAC’s Executive Board are held annually. Currently WACAC is accepting nominations for the positions of President-Elect and assembly delegates.
President-elect
This year the Nominations Committee seeks qualified members who are interested in serving in the Office of the President to complete applications no later than March 12th. The ballot will be completed by the end of March and sent to the membership for a vote in April. The successful candidate will be notified by the end of April. To be considered, applicants must be members of WACAC and NACAC and their institutions must be institutional members of NACAC. Applicants should have been involved in WACAC activities in several areas.
The President-elect will begin three years of service at the end of the WACAC Membership meeting in Reno this May and is expected to attend the Superconference. Attendance at the Summer Board Retreats, Legislative Conferences, Annual Conferences and WACAC Board meetings is expected, as well as NACAC Assembly Meetings and Leadership meetings in the Summer and March. WACAC will pay for all expenses for these meetings, but the individual / individual’s institution must maintain membership in WACAC and NACAC during this time. The President-elect sits on the Fiscal Policy Committee and chairs the Annual Conference Committee and is supported in those efforts by the Treasurer, Event Planner and Administrative Assistant. There are seven positions available and upon approval of the proposed By-Laws, the Assembly Delegates will serve as Ex Officio members of the WACAC Executive Board. The ballot will be completed by the end of March and sent to the membership for a vote in April. The successful candidates will be notified by the end of April. To be considered, applicants must be members of WACAC and NACAC and their institutions must be institutional members of NACAC. Applicants should have been involved in WACAC activities in several areas.
