NACAC

Scholarships

In keeping with WACAC’S primary mission to support the efforts of high school and college admission counselors in their work with students, we provide scholarship and grant money to ensure all professionals can participate in professional development opportunities. Particular emphasis is placed on assistance that reaches across ethnic, economic and regionally unsupported areas.

Juel Lee Mentorship Award

Juel Lee was one of the most effective and memorable mentors to young admission professionals coming into our field.  After a long and successful career at UC Irvine, Juel moved on to become one of the first regional representatives in California, recruiting very effectively for Northern Arizona University for many years before his retirement.  Always the first to arrive at the college fair, Juel was sure to check in on the younger college admission officers as they arrived and was a role model for all.
